Akshay Kumar graces the October cover of

Harper’s BAZAAR India

For the first time in its seven-year history, Harper’s Bazaar India is a men’s-only edition, featuring Akshay Kumar on the cover. He talks to Bazaar about how fitness is a way of life and why he’s proud of not having an eight-back. He stresses on the importance of having a routine, of ensuring he always has magical moments with his family, of his roots as a stuntsman, and of how his destiny depends on how he treats the world.

In a special section, we look at what it takes to be a man today, with essays and ideas and thoughts from authors, artists, actors, photographers. There’s a photo essay by Farrokh Chothis, featuring images of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Pooja Mor, among others; journalist Prayaag Akbar writes on letting go of male pride, actor Arunoday Singh contributes Sufi poetry, author and filmmaker Fahad Samar talks about choosing to not have children, comedian Radhika Vaz celebrates the man of today.

We scour men’s runway fashion to present the trends, products, and brands they need to know about. In fashion, we focus on 90s fashion, with outerwear and athleisure, in a shoot featuring young Indian designers and models. Then, we show our readers how and where they can get the look.

Our beauty section for this issue was rebranded as Grooming: The highlights include a photo shoot on yoga with model and yogi Arya Bhatt, a shoot on grooming essentials, and the ultimate skin and haircare tool box. In features, we have Timothy Oulton’s new store, author Karan Mahajan’s reading list, NH7 Weekender’s art project, and the exclusive whiskeys to drink. Apart from the cover story, back of book features a shoot with Abhay Deol in Paris, and an interview with Suneet Varma. Travel takes us to the top wildlife resorts in India as safari season opens this month. We also have features on Diesel Black Gold, and the H&M and Kenzo collaboration.

On the cover, Akshay Kumar wears a jacket,

Rajesh Pratap Singh. T-shirt, Divyam Mehta.
